About Josh Munkeby

Josh Munkeby has a Masters in Counseling and served as a family counselor for more than 10 years at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc (YAP, Inc.) He was also the Program Director for the Advocacy Program at YAP, Inc. working with high-risk youth in the Juvenile Justice System and their families. Currently, Josh is a certified trainer for Mental Health First Aid, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST), and Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA). He has joined North Texas Behavioral Health Authority as the Substance Use Disorder Education/Trainer and teaches organizations and the community on different substance use topics and mental health.

  • Common Substance Use Trends in Adolescent Youth

    There are many substances out there that our youth tend to gravitate towards. This training will cover some of the common trends found in adolescent substance use as well as how to recognize signs and symptoms of substance use.

  • Fentanyl Awareness and Narcan Training

    Learn about the Fentanyl crisis sweeping the country. Learn about the affects of fentanyl and how is it being marketed into the community. The training will end by covering overdose symptoms and how to use Narcan which contains Naloxone, a life saving substance that reverses opioid overdoses.
