Dan Busby holds a BA in Art and Business from Muskingum University and has dedicated over 30 years to youth development through Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America). Currently, Dan serves as Director of Development and Marketing for Scouting America’s Longhorn Council in Fort Worth, TX, with a primary responsibility of raising $4M of annual operating funds and guiding the completion of a $15M capital campaign to renovate Camp Tahuaya, Belton, TX.
Dan’s career began in Akron, OH and progressed through Topeka, KS, Peoria, IL, Kalamazoo, MI, Chicago, IL, Irving, TX, and Glen Jean, WV. Over this time Dan estimates that he has raised over $75,000,000 to support the Scouting programs in the communities he served.
Committed to community service: Dan is active in Rotary International, Chambers of Commerce and served on several committees to help numerous causes in the communities he has lived in. He and his wife Carrie (Oertel) ’94, have been married 27 years and are proud parents of Rory and Suzanne.
